Taguig City, Philippines
Taguig City, part of the Manila metro area was once known as a thriving fishing community on the shores of Laguna de Bay, but because of rapid growth, it is now considered one of the most important commercial, industrial, and residential areas in the Philippines.
The Royal Palm Residences are conveniently nestled away in the middle of this bustling metropolis of Taguig City, and for this project, the contractor chose the lightweight and versatile EFCO HAND-E-FORM system for construction.
The development boasts eight mid-rise and two high-rise buildings with a variety of floor plans ranging from studio to three bedroom units. EFCO HAND-E-FORM was used on the first tower, and because the project came in ahead of schedule, the same equipment was used to construct the second tower. EFCO engineers helped plan the work for this handset forming application to construct the beams, columns, and shear walls for this massive residential project.
The contractor was so confident in the HAND-E-FORM package that they decided to purchase and own the equipment for their future formwork needs. Considering the fact that with proper care and maintenance, HAND-E-FORM panels can last a “lifetime”, they will be able to use this equipment on many projects to come!
